The entire conflict is not smart at all. How can 2 adults be this stupid. The dialogue went round and round over a non believable relationship. And even when both agree to get past the past, both were still stupid. The book could have been centred on a beautiful process of reconciliation instead of the whole aspect of arguing and behaving stupidly and then abruptly end as it did. It would have been a believable reconciliation if the story ended with the h going back to the H and then a epilogue as to where they are after with a happier and more intelligent process of reconciliation. Sorry sometimes I think writers let go of the lighthouse coming home sometimes.

The Veranchetti Marriage Lynne Graham Collection Lynne Graham 9780263840964 Books Reviews
I don’t think the H in this book knows what love is. Being possessive and dominating does not equate to love. He was terrible toward the h throughout most of the book. He was more worried about his image, and what others might think of him (marrying someone so young) than what his wife actually had to say. He was abusive at time, and treated the h like a whore at others. He was dominating and possessive, but when the truth came out, he ran with his tails between his legs. In another word, he can stick around and dish out the mean words, accusations, and making her feel bad, but when it was his turn to realize he was in the wrong (or things got hard for him) he ran away instead of sticking around to grovel and fight for her.
The heroine wasn’t much better either. Partying and drinking while being pregnant? Being a doormat to this guy? The h was immature. If anything, this book was a great demonstration of why marriage between a grown as$ man and a girl barely out of teenage years couldn't work. (At least for these two). Their love was not believable. The only thing I think they had was physical attraction. Do I believe in the HEA for these two? No, absolutely not. I’m 100% sure another divorce is imminent in these two’s near future.
I really don’t understand how this book has so many high reviews.
The beginning was incredibly frustrating - the heroine was so weak and guilty and ineffective. The ending was better, but by then the damage was done and the heroine seemed weak and the hero a bully. Not my favourite by this author.
This story starts after their divorce. What happened to the marriage? Did she betray him like they both think? Or was it all a lie due to a jealous woman who wanted him? Another book by Lynne Graham that I have re-read several times.
This early story has all the ingredients of a true romance. The anger and angst of a man who believes that his wife has been unfaithful to him and the love that stops him from other women is beautifully written. The h is strong enough to stand up to him even tho she loves him deeply. Love a faithful H!
Kerry was a young divorced mother. Her son was four years old. He wanted his parents together. Alex decided he wanted this too but he could not trust his wife. He had walked in on his wife while she was asleep at her sister 's house. The sister had played a prank by letting a friend lay on her sister's bed. Alex got a divorce.
Contemptible book passing off abuse and rape within a marriage as romance. This is a dangerous book for any young woman to read. It is not romance it's a story of a young woman so abused by the assh**e who claims to love her that she starts to believe she deserves the abuse. Warning to all women give this a miss.
I've read so much of this author's books and I've enjoyed them in the past but its the same thing over and over again. Only it gets worse each time. There no redeeming qualities in either characters and no character development.
It was all 'I blame you for this, I blame you for that, I'm going to withhold the truth so you can suffer some more'..this goes around and around. Then it's 'oh I know the truth' lets hurt each other some more just a little bit..... And then 'Oh I love you'. THE END!
There wasn't even an epilogue to at least bring some closure on how they could have progressed from their abrupt reunion. God I hate that. If I had the imagination to think up an ending, I wouldn't need to read at all. Reading it makes it seem more real.
There was something about the heroine that I just didn't like. It was like I know in my head I did nothing wrong, I'm not going to tell you the truth all those years ago, but lo and behold 'why are you treating me like this?'
Right now I'd be hard pressed to buy another one of her books.
