I just this minute finished reading my book by Maria Alexander. It is a Christmas story but so very much more and it is titled, Snowed. When I read her novel Mr.Wicker, I thought there was no way on earth this author could ever top that tale. How wrong was I? Completely. This novel has everything anyone could want and more in a story made not just for young adults but one that will please all of us who read and are hungry for the best there is out there. I now know that I will never be disappointed in anything this wonderful story teller puts out there and will snap up all of it as soon as it hits the 'stands.' Kudos a million fold, Maria Alexander and you have another avid fan for life. Thank you and please say you have another book in the works? I will be indebted to you forever.

I loved it!! But when is the next chapter?! I can’t wait!! This book is so original; it is engrossing and I am going to miss Charity Jones and cannot wait to see what happens next. Brava!!
Romance and speculative fiction combine in a fun, twisty, and seriously page-turning read. I'm slapping a hand across my mouth (symbolically) to prevent giving away this engagingly alternative interpretation of a classic story. All I can say is 'Tis the season to read SNOWED.
While "Snowed" at times seems like it will veer into cliche territory a.k.a."Twilight", author Maria Alexander instead combines Old and New World legends and lore to create an interesting take on the mythology of both Santa Claus and his nefarious counterpart Krampus. As POV character Charity Jones falls deeper down the rabbit hole of circumstance, she finds herself fighting threats from all sides, and must decide who to trust and what to sacrifice to save people she cares about.
I enjoyed this novel quite a bit. The protagonist was very well written and I am looking forward to the next installment and seeing where this set of characters lead.
Christmas will never look the same again! A girl in high school and her friends have to protect their loved ones from the most unexpected monster ever!
Ask any of my friends, if a book, show, or movie doesn't have a great villian, I don't care how wonderful the hero is, I'm going to be upset!

Thankfully, the villain in this book is awesome. I love how the villain is ever present, but you really "just don't get it" until the climax.

Fun read for both youth and adult. Looking forward to the sequel.
I had such a hard time getting into this book. It was a real chore to finish. The stereotypes were so blatant and overblown. Really. The main character was so whiny and judgmental. How do you complain about people judging you while you judge them for their beliefs? Hypocritical much? It almost made you want to take sides with the bullies.

That aside it took forever for something to happen. The first few chapters could have been deleted especially since the stereotypes and judgements of the author were to be repeated throughout.
